I applied, a while ago, for a Young Writer's course. It's a 2-day event, hosted by The Scottish Youth Theatre, during which there are talks and workshops with award winning writers/directors, etc.
I applied a while ago, not really thinking much would come of it. Then I found out, again, a while ago, that I'd been accepted into the thing... Awesome. But now it's becoming a reality. The event is at the start of October and now I'm forced to contemplate just how good a writer am I?
Will I hold up against the rest of the people at the event? Will I progress through to the 'next round'?
I was also linked to a channel4 site, which offered the chance for 12 young writers to take part in a drama writing course, during which your script could be optioned.
The application for that has to be in by November 1st.
It's all kind of scary.
I enjoy writing and people who've read the stuff I've written seem to enjoy it, for the most part. But...
ugh...
Things becoming real. I don't like it.
